In a world full of smoke and noise, the silent, petrol-free REVA is like a whiff of fresh air. It's the coolest way to commute around the city and protect the environment at the same time. Not only is the REVA compact and easy to manoeuvre, it also makes the world a better place for you and your family.
REVA's core belief is that the environment cannot indefinitely sustain the operation of fossil fuel based cars. The company is committed to mitigating climate change by producing non-polluting alternatives to conventional cars. And now, with its new ultra low carbon assembly plant at the Bommasandra Industrial Area of Bangalore, REVA ensures that this commitment is entrenched in every aspect of its business, from product design to manufacturing and beyond.
Every REVA NXR and NXG built at the new plant will be 'Born Green', possessing one of the lowest 'dust to dirt' (a term denoting a vehicle's entire lifecycle) carbon footprints of any car in mass production. 'Born Green' is an operating philosophy that REVA is committed to and constantly strives to improve upon. It consists of a conscious effort to minimise environmental impact in all its business areas, including manufacturing, assembly, vehicle operation, supply chain management and disposal or recycling of vehicles and batteries. The new production plant has been developed in accordance with the standards set by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC-India), a universally accepted benchmark for the design and operation of high performance green buildings.
Today, Mahindra Reva has one of the largest deployed fleets of electric cars in the global market and the accumulated data from more than 100 million km of user experience. The company's electric vehicle platforms, technologies and regional vehicle assembly are offered under license.
